Embracing Realistic & Loving Intentions For 2025
Hey Beautiful,
Happy New Year. Let’s talk about these goals we keep setting every year. You know how it goes: “New year, new me” energy hits and we make those big, bold declarations — I’m going to lose 20 pounds. I’m going to work out every day. I’m going to meditate every morning at sunrise.
Research shows that most people give up on their goals within the first two weeks of the year. Not because they aren’t capable. Not because they aren’t motivated. But because those goals? They were often born from pressure, not purpose— pressure to prove something, to be more, to do more, to check boxes so we feel "enough."
But here is the thing: You are already enough.
What if, instead of setting goals that feel like another task, you set intentions rooted in love? Intentions that speak to the core of what you want to experience in this life — not just what you want to accomplish.
This year, I’m choosing two words to guide me: rest and restoration. I want to feel grounded. I want to pour into myself the way I pour into everyone else. I want to nourish my mind, spirit, and body without guilt or pushing for perfection.
So let me ask you: What do you want to feel or experience more of this year?
Do you want more peace, where your mind is calm and your spirit is settled?
Do you want to experience more joy, not just in big moments but in the small, sacred spaces of your day?
Do you want more love — not just the romantic kind, but that deep self-love that whispers "you are enough" even on your hardest days?
When we set intentions instead of rigid goals, we create space for growth without the weight of perfectionism. Intentions invite us to be present, to check in with ourselves along the way, and to adjust with grace instead of shame.
Here’s how you can start shifting from goals to intentions:
Pause & Reflect:
Ask yourself: What do I truly need this year? What would make you feel whole? Instead of aiming for external milestones, tune into your inner desires.Name Your Intentions with Love:
Write them down. Speak them aloud. Make them personal. Instead of saying, "I need to lose weight," what if you said, "I want to feel strong and energized in my body because I love it." See the difference?Check In with Compassion:
Life will life. Things won't always go as planned. But your worth isn't tied to productivity. When you check in on your intentions, do it with curiosity, not criticism. "How am I feeling lately? What’s been nourishing me? What needs adjusting?"Celebrate Your Growth:
Growth isn’t always visible. Sometimes it's the boundaries you set, the moments you chose peace over proving yourself, the times you slowed down when your body whispered, "rest." Honor that. That is progress.Hold Space for Ease:
Your healing, your growth, your evolution — it's not meant to be a hustle. It's a journey. Let it feel good. Let it feel like care.
This Year take Good, Good Care of You.
So here’s to more softness, peace, and grace with yourself. Here’s to listening to your spirit and letting it guide you — not the noise of the world. Here’s to moving with intention, not pressure. Here’s to a year of loving yourself fully, setting intentions that feel freeing, and taking good, good care of your whole being.
I’m right here walking this path with you. Let’s make this year about healing, wholeness, and the kind of growth that feels like coming home to yourself. Let’s move away from “New year, new me” to “New year, more me.”
You are so worthy of that.
With so much love and care,
Adrianne
