Congratulations Dr. Adrianne Pinkney
Hey B. Well Family,
I’m thrilled to share some great news: I’ve been featured in the Spring 2025 issue of Connect Magazine—a publication that uplifts, celebrates, and empowers women through storytelling, healing, and truth-telling.
If you’re not already familiar, Connect Magazine is produced by YANASISTERS (You Are Not Alone), a powerful collective dedicated to the emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being of women. Each issue creates space for authentic stories that remind us we are seen, supported, and most importantly—not alone.
This Spring 2025 issue is themed “I Choose Me.” It’s a brave and beautiful compilation of reflections from women who are reclaiming their voice, honoring their boundaries, and choosing themselves unapologetically in a world that often asks them to choose everyone else first.
My personal contribution is titled: “Just Let Go.” (Page 8-11)
In it, I reflect on what rest means to me as a Black woman, a mother of three, and a wellness practitioner holding space for others while trying to hold space for myself.
“Rest is the quiet where I can hear my voice again. It is solitude, unbothered and uninterrupted”
This season, I’ve cried more than I have in a long time. But those tears? They’re water. And I’m growing.
God is doing a new thing in me.
I hope that, in reading the feature, you’ll feel permission to let go too. To say yes to rest. To say yes to you.
You can read the full issue here.
And let me know what parts resonate—I love hearing from you.
In Wellness,
Adrianne
