You’re Not “Just” a Mom. You’re the Mothership

Greetings B. Well Family!

Five years I bought my first "mom car" a Ford explorer with space for two car seats. I was THRILLED!  I walked into the DMV with one thing on my mind.

I wanted my license plate to say MOTHASHP.

Not kind of. Not a variation. Not something close enough.
I had backups ready—different spellings, different versions—just in case. But in my heart, I wanted that exact word. Because I understood what driving, or being, the Mothership, really meant.

And when they told me it was available?

I was so excited. It felt aligned. It felt right. It felt like me.

Because to me, the word mothership is not just about Parliament Funkadelic—it’s sacred.

In nautical, or shipping, terms, the mothership is the large vessel that carries, supports, and launches smaller ships. It’s where they come from. It’s where they are supplied, repaired, and protected. It holds everything they need before they go out into the world on their own.

It is the source.

It is the covering.

It is the home base.

And when I think about motherhood, I think… that’s exactly what we, as mothers, are.

We are not just raising children.
We are building vessels.

We are the place our children launch from.
We are the place they come back to.
We carry what they cannot yet carry.
We hold the nourishment, the guidance, the safety, the rhythm, the structure, the love.

We are the snacks, the schedules, the prayers, the hugs, the discipline, the calm in the chaos, the voice in their head that will guide them long after they leave us.

We are the mothership.

And here’s the truth that I need every mother to remember:

The mothership does not lose her power when the smaller ships leave.

Her purpose is not to keep them attached forever.
Her purpose is to make them strong enough to go.

Every moment you show up—tired or not, clear or not, patient or stretched—you are shaping who your children will become in the world. You are giving them a foundation they will stand on for the rest of their lives.

That is not small work.
That is not invisible work.
That is legacy work.

So if you’ve been feeling overwhelmed…
If you’ve been questioning yourself…
If you’ve been pouring and pouring and wondering if it’s enough…

Let me remind you:

You are not “just” a mom. You are the mother. You are the mothership.

And you deserve support too.

Because even the strongest vessel needs maintenance, care, and space to recalibrate.

That’s the work I do.

I support women in reconnecting to themselves, strengthening their foundation, and showing up fully in their lives without losing who they are in the process.

If you’re ready to feel more grounded, more clear, and more supported in your journey, I’d love to work with you.

You don’t have to do this alone.

Let the mothership be supported too.
