The Benefits of Gratitude

The Benefits of Gratitude

Yes, healthy people are happy people. Happy people, are healthy people. Either way you spin it, staying positive improves your health. Take a gratitude pill and have a good day.

Tis the Season of Letting Go!

Tis the Season of Letting Go!

As autumn sets in, consider the areas of your life that need to be released, consider what no longer serves you, gets in your way, and needs to wither and die. It can be physical: a job, relationship, debt, or clothes that no longer fit. You can release emotional baggage: anger, guilt, sadness, and unforgiveness. Or maybe you are carrying mental weight: negative thoughts, racing thoughts, or unawareness. Commit to letting something go. Be like the trees...Release!

Lessons from India and Nepal

Lessons from India and Nepal

Traveling expands my state of consciousness. It stretches, grows, challenges, and moves me. Traveling has been one of the great healers of my life. Recently, I embarked on a journey to India and Nepal with my travel companion, and friend, Ashli. I had many wonderful experiences while traveling. Here are five important things I learned, or affirmed, on my trip to India and Nepal.

B. Well Celebrates Two Years!

B. Well Celebrates Two Years!

I am pleased to announce that I work for B. Well full-time! I would appreciate your continued support by spreading the good news about our services. Please invite us to your office for professional development, have us come to your church for group coaching, or tell your friends about our work. You could always use this as a time to begin individual coaching for yourself!

Ego: The Enemy of Consciousness

Ego: The Enemy of Consciousness

So what is the ego? The ego is difficult to define because the ego is an illusion. Still, I will try to capture it. Our ego is the thing that makes us feel embarrassed when we trip on the carpet when we are in a room alone, or when someone is looking. Our ego would like to believe that we should not trip, fall, or get it completely wrong. Ego could be described as a false self that we develop based on a collection of beliefs and experiences that allow us to answer life’s continuous  question, “Who am I?” Your response to the “I am” question is what drives the actions you take in attempt to experience yourself as you think, or say, you are. But when ego rules we struggle to answer the “I am” honestly…

Spring is in the Air!

Spring is in the Air!

Psalm 51:10 reads, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me." Emotional renewal is important.  During this Spring season, clean your heart. Who do you need to forgive? What are you holding on to that is slowing you down? Are you still feeling guilty? Have you not released the shame of the past? Are you still holding on to a relationship that is over? This is a wonderful time to decide to feel better. Set your intentions toward positive emotions. Choose JOY!

Developing a Team: A Lesson in Letting Go

Developing a Team: A Lesson in Letting Go

Many of my clients seek coaching because they are overwhelmed, unsupported, and tired. They come to me to help them change. Together, we work on important life skills such as help-seeking, creating reciprocal relationships, delegating tasks to others, and letting go. "Doing the work" is a lifetime commitment. When life presented a new experience, even I had to take a breath and remember that I can trust others to support me. I can let it go.

The Benefit of a Good Coach

The Benefit of a Good Coach

I knew they would win because they had a really, really, really, good coach. It was a little of the "it takes one to know one" but I spotted Jay Wright a mile away. I could see the affect he had on his players. He knew his players strength's and weaknesses. Because he knew them as individuals, he was able to build a great team by providing an opportunity for each individual to utilize their superpowers for the benefit of the collective. He put them in the right positions so the team played well. Good coaching makes all the difference.
